ENSA’s vision and strategy, developed in collaboration with thought leaders and organization partners from around the world, focus on working together as one entity to deliver excellence in all of the services provided in order to have a direct and lasting impact on the achievement of inclusive social and economic progress, climate resilience and sustainable development of our (global) society.
Our mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to a Digital Economy and Sustainable and Resilient Society (DESRS) – and to support the implementation of transformative solutions in this area.
Our Values:
Integrity: We behave with the highest degree of transparency, integrity and intellectual rigour in our actions with each other and our stakeholders.
Co-creation: In the complex and fast-changing world we live in, we work together, both as an Association and with our stakeholders, to share knowledge, stimulate innovation, collaborative learning and creativity, disseminate and deliver quality results.
Dissemination: Effective dissemination ensures not only the efficient distribution of new knowledge, but it raises awareness and encourages collaboration. It is imperative to ensure visibility of projects and new issues by promoting the activities. ENSA has, in this respect, a strong experience in it through its European and international network with truly global reach.
Education: As part of its resolve, ENSA looks forward to sensitizing and educating people and businesses in different sectors of the digital economy, such as agriculture, science, manufacturing, environment, climate, water, energy, healthcare, region/ cities, …
Our Objectives
Maintaining a deep knowledge and experience of the use and potential impact of digital technologies, applications and services for addressing global environmental, economic, financial, social, geopolitical and technological risks and disasters.
Contributing to the promotion of policy and regulatory decisions looking upon the future through interaction among universities, governments, regulators, corporations and civil society, with a view to mitigating the impact of global challenges on the Digital Economy and Society and ensuring a better management of risks and digital transformation.
Stimulating critical reflections concerning information on the Internet, taking into consideration continuous breakthroughs in Generative Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of things (IoT).
Vigorously addressing the “banalization” and “normalization” of current global challenges, such as pandemics, (deterioration of) critical infrastructures, cyber-attacks, involuntary migrations, climate changes and extreme climatic events, biodiversity, digital illiteracy, and widening social inequalities, by promoting broad, respectful and inclusive debate and consensus-building among actors on the European and international arena.
Supporting the continuing transformation of education systems through the effective use of the wide spectrum of technologies and applications, in order to enable businesses to reap the full benefits of the digital transformation, and to enhance citizen experience with digital technologies during their whole personal and active professional life.
Poactively endeavouring to eradicate all forms of discrimination and raise awareness of this issue among all stakeholders, and to promote equal opportunities, particularly through education.
